East Colorado Springs is an area that was built between years of approximately 1960-1990 with some scattered subdivisions built in the 2000s.
It is absolutely beautiful because of the long term growth of trees and established parks. The East area is home to the famous Palmer Park. Palmer Park consists of 730.7 mountainous acres and has a high point of Elevation, 6,407 feet. It was donated to the City of Colorado Springs by General Palmer himself in 1902. There are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails along with horseback riding. This park literally sits in the middle of the City yet has the feel that you are in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.
The east area has many other features like the old Train route across the City that was converted into a walking and biking trail. Shopping is plentiful and the Citadel mall is in the same area. Also home to Patty Jewett golf course and the Colorado Springs Country Club. See all homes for sale in the East area of Colorado Springs.
